Having social accounts and actually posting on them turn out to be very different things.
This month we published our first posts on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Hitting publish the first time is oddly hard — there’s no audience yet, so it feels like talking to an empty room. But every organization’s first post goes out to nobody, and you don’t get to the hundredth without it.
We also began reaching out to people who can help us grow our Online Resources service — the free lessons, sheet music and video tutorials we want to make available to anyone who wants to learn, whether or not we ever hand them an instrument. That’s the part of Pass the Chord that can reach a student we’ll never meet, and we’d like it to be good.
